Gnome Extensions

Gnome 3 introduced the gnome-shell with very limited customizing option. Those extensions will help you to adapt the gnome-shell to your own wishes.

  • This Gnome shell extension removes the bluetooth icon from the panel.

    Installation

    Dowload the tarball to $HOME/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions and unpack it.

    A new directory called remove-bluetooth-icon@affolter-engineering.ch should be created.

    If you prefer to use the latest source clone the git repository and run

    On a Fedora-based system you can use yum to install this extension:

    Now restart your Gnome shell (Alt-F2 and ‘r’) and the bluetooth icon should be gone.
