According to Art. 13 (Right to privacy) of the Swiss Federal Constitution (SR 101) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (DPA, SR 235) everyone has the right of protection in  their life, both private and family, and to protection against the misuse of their personal data and telecommunications. Affolter Engineering respect and follow all legal stipulations at all times. The proceeding of personal data is limited to the minimum scope necessary for all business purposes.

No information is analyzed in a personal context nor are personal data forwarded to third parties, unless an agreement between all involved parties is present about the dissemination of this data and information.

For statistical purposes this web site is collecting non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Affolter engineering’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use the website. From time to time, Affolter Engineering may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the website.

If you communicate with us via email or web forms all transmitted data is unencrypted if your are not using Public-key cryptography. The same applies if you receive our answers via email and we are not aware of your personal PGP/GnuPG key. Non-encrypted emails or communication on other channels, like XMPP, are not a suitable ways to send confidential information and sensitive data, incl. attachments to Affolter Engineering and receive data from us.
